Eternit has been producing profiled sheeting for over 100 years. Eternit FarmTec is perfect for agricultural, livestock, and equestrian buildings, not to mention a whole host of other sectors. Benefits: • Moisture absorption: ability to absorb up to 25% of its dry weight in moisture • Durability: rust, rot and corrosion resistance in excess of 50 years • Insulation: the thermal and acoustic properties of fibre cement produce a more stable internal environment than steel, resulting in improved wellbeing and productivity • High absorbency: minimises the risk of condensation dripping • Extensive colour range When are movement joints required? Length of building Number of movement joints 0-45m 0 45-75m 1 75-105m 2 Plus, one extra movement joint for every additional 30m. Applications Movement joints are intended for use in long, continuous stretches of roofing or vertical sheeting, to accommodate thermal and other movements. BS 8219 recommends that movement joints be included in stretches of roofing and vertical sheeting on buildings exceeding 45 metres in length. They should also be designed to coincide with any structural or movement joints provided in the building, in which case, there should always be a movement joint through the complete system. For buildings in which the temperature or humidity is higher than normal, or which are subjected to sudden changes in temperature, the movement joints may be required at closer centres than indicated. Contact the Eternit Technical department for further advice. Movement joint end cap Intended to close the open end of a movement joint, stop ends are made to fit over the sheeting and into a straight movement joint. They should be fixed by bolting to the movement joint

Delivery charges

  • The delivery charge will be shown in the checkout.
  • If the delivery is missed for any reason, you will be billed again for the re-delivery. See below: failed deliveries.

Delivery access

  • Eternit deliveries are made to kerbside and require hardstanding ground. All Eternit deliveries are delivered on one of the following vehicles:
  • Artic Trailer
    • Max Height – 14.8M
    • Max Width – 2.4M
    • Max Length – 15M
    • Carrying Capacity – 26T w/o Moffett – 24T with Moffett
  • Rigid Vehicle
    • Max Height – 14.6M
    • Max Width – 2.4M
    • Max Length – 12M
    • Carrying Capacity – 14T w.o Moffett – 11T with Moffett
  • Our sales office will need to be made aware of any delivery restrictions, such as narrow lanes, overhanging trees etc. that may cause restrictions. 
  • You must be present to accept the delivery. Please note delivery drivers have the right to refuse to offload material if deemed unsafe. 

Date and time of delivery

  • We will advise a delivery date to you by email, and your order will be delivered directly to you from Eternit.
  • Delivery will arrive between 8am – 5pm at unspecified times.
  • Charges will be applied to all deliveries which take over 1 hour.

Failed deliveries are chargeable

  • You must be present to accept the delivery.
  • Failed deliveries will be chargeable depending on the distance and product weight of the goods ordered. Please ask Roof Gant to confirm these charges. 

Damages & missing items

  • All damaged or missing items should be reported to the driver and signed for as damaged or missing, wherever possible.
  • Contact Roof Giant within 24 hours of receipt with all details so we can help you. If you wait too long, we may be unable to help.
  • Any damages must be photographed and submitted along with your claim by email to

Do not install purchased items if you have a query with the product (e.g. if you need to query damage that occurred during transit).

  • If an item is installed it will not be refunded or replaced.

How much does delivery cost?

Delivery charges will vary and will depend on the manufacturer, weight, size and delivery location. The cost is automatically calculated when you add items to the shopping basket.

How long will I wait for my delivery?

The estimated delivery times are shown on each product page, we will email you each step of the way to keep you informed. The majority of products can be delivered within 3-5 working days. We will advise you if the delivery period is different from than stated on our website.

Do you offer NEXT DAY delivery?

We currently do not offer next day delivery but hope to offer this soon. If you have a particular item that you require quicker than the guide on our website, please contact our sales team on 01858 455445 during office hours, they will be able to confirm whether a quicker delivery if possible.

What if my delivery doesn't turn up on time?

Do you offer FREE Delivery if I spend a substantial amount?

Not as standard, we show the delivery charges separate once you go to the checkout so it is clear what you are paying for the products and delivery costs. If you are ordering larger quantities please contact out sales team who will be able to confirm if this is possible.

Do you deliver on Weekends?

Not as standard, our deliveries are made Monday to Friday. If you do need an urgent Saturday delivery please contact out sales team on 01858 455445 during office hours who will be able to confirm. This will incur a premium charge if possible.

Do you deliver to Northern Ireland/Guernsey/The Scottish Highlands/Isle of Wight?

Yes, we do but our transport charges incorporated in the site do not cover these areas, please contact our sales team on 01858 455445 during office hours for costs; or we will contact you to make the additional payment once you have completed your online purchase.

Important Note: Please do not send goods back to Sheeting Giant before speaking to the Sheeting Giant sales office. 

Sheeting Giant strongly recommend you take photographs of goods before returning. Occasionally goods are damaged during transit, therefore you may need to confirm the packaging/goods were intact (prior to collection) to the courier as part of the refund process.

As a consumer you have the right to change your mind (Consumer Regulations 2013). This right stipulates that for most products purchased online you have a legal right to change your mind within 14 days and receive a refund under the consumer contracts regulations 2013.

This right starts from the point you or someone you nominate receives the goods. If your goods are being delivered in multiple deliveries your right starts from the point the last delivery is received.

If you wish to exercise this right you must in the first instance contact us via phone 01858 455445 or email advising us of your wish to change your mind, its then your responsibility to arrange for the goods to be returned to us within 14 days of ending the contract.
